Bristol Art For All

In 2015 myself and fellow UWE graduate Rosa Hewitt set up a drop-in community art class in BASE a anarchist community centre in Easton in Bristol. We provide a safe, supportive space where people can explore their creativity and connect with others. For us the process of making, exploring, experimenting and playing are as important as final outcomes. The project ran at BASE for four years before moving to Hamilton House. Due to Covid we are no longer meeting physically sessions have been moved to Zoom and we make art alongside each other online. The aim is to increase access to the arts for all by reducing barriers to arts education. People come when they can and we operate a tiered pricing system so no one is excluded due to their financial situation. Below is some of the artwork which has been made over the years.
